The Little Village: Little Village is like a food bank, but for clothes, toys and equipment for babies and children up to the age of 5. They accept donations of excellent-condition, pre-loved items, which are passed on to families who need support. Email me with your child’s age, and clothes size, and if they want books and toys as well, and I can make a referral on your behalf.

National Childbirth Trust: Provides free advice and guidance for expecting mothers or new mothers.

Family problems and/or Domestic Violence 

Citizens Advice Wandsworth have launched a new family law and domestic abuse advice service. The service entitles the client to 30 minutes of free family law advice from a very experienced lawyer, via a virtual appointment (or phone if the client prefers). The law firm doing the work is booked via Citizens Advice Wandsworth, and CAW want clients to use the form set out below this email to book the appointment so that the client is properly logged into their system. https://cawandsworth.org/contact-us/

Hestiaprovides Independent Domestic Abuse Advocacy (IDVA) support and refuge accommodation for victims and their children suffering from domestic abuse. National Domestic Violence Helpline: 0808 2000 247. This Freephone 24 hour helpline, run in partnership between Women’s Aid and Refuge, is a national service for women experiencing domestic violence. The Helpline can give support, help and information over the telephone. All calls are completely confidential. It offers translation facilities for callers whose first language is not English, and a service for callers who are deaf or hard of hearing is available.   

National Stalking Helpline: 0808 802 0300 – provides advice and advocacy support to victims of stalking 

Women and Girls Network: 0808 801 0660 – offers free and confidential specialist emotional support for women and girls who have experienced recent or historic sexual violence and abuse. Sexual Violence Helpline 0808 801 0770. 

Southall Black Sisters: We run an; advice, advocacy and resource centre in West London which provides a comprehensive service to women experiencing violence and abuse and other forms of inequality. We offer specialist advice, information, casework, advocacy, counselling and self-help support services in several community languages, especially South Asian languages. Whilst our focus is on the needs of black and minority women, we will not turn any woman away who needs emergency help.
