Michelle Cook is standing to represent Wandsworth Town, a community where she grew up, raised her son, and continues to contribute.
She began her career as a bereavement counsellor with WBS and, over 25 years, has led and transformed voluntary sector services across local family support, youth work, addiction, and social care.
Most recently, she managed a specialist team supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis, deepening her understanding of residents with complex needs.
Michelle grew up in a politically engaged Battersea household and has remained active locally — volunteering with charities, contributing to permaculture projects, and supporting the arts. She believes in empowered, connected communities.
Alongside campaigning, she has been working with neighbours to establish a local residents’ group, reflecting her collaborative approach to solving problems.
She is committed to amplifying community voices, strengthening the voluntary sector, and widening participation, particularly among young residents.
