Shirin (she-reen) has lived in Wandsworth Town for almost 10 years, and grew up around Wandsworth.
She is passionate about public service and has spent over a decade working to ensure good governance, value for money and social value are embedded in public spending decisions.
A dedicated campaigner and volunteer for over 25 years, her first “angry letter” was to the WWF at the age of 9 to call on world leaders to protect wild tigers and giant pandas. Since then she has advocated for women, minorities, refugees and young people via UN Women UK, Citizens Advice, Refugee Action, the WI, Changemakers and UK Youth Parliament.
As a local mum and charity trustee, she is committed to building a fairer, representative and greener borough for all Wandsworth residents and especially for the future generation.
