Fleur is fundraising to say thank you to the staff at St George’s and Queen Mary’s hospitals.

She will be completing a 5km run at 10am on Sat 18th April and is encouraging others to join her at the same time wherever they are.

The money will go towards supporting those on the front line as well as patients and their families with equipment, food and supplies.

Fleur has so far raised over £1000 in less than a week, and has set a target of £2000.

Speaking to the local media, Fleur said:

“Our NHS workers at Queen Mary’s and St George’s Hospitals are doing an amazing and dangerous job – quite literally putting their lives on the line for us. Fundraisers like this are the least we can do them to show solidarity and how much we appreciate the work we are doing. I would like to thank everyone who has donated so far and humbly ask anyone who can to donate. Anyone can ask their friends to support them to do their own run as part of their daily exercise and wherever they are at 10am on Saturday 18th April.”

Outside of fundraising, Fleur has been lobbying the Government on several issues affecting NHS staff, including pressing the Government more Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and calling for more ventilators for intensive care units, and for changes to the support packages for self-employed people and support for charities.
