Additional MTUs – we went live today with extra MTU capacity at Wandsworth Town Hall. This has reduced queues and increased capacity. Tomorrow the opening hours for Mount Clare House will be extended to 5pm and we will be going live with a further 3 MTUs taking the total number of MTU sites to 6 in Wandsworth. They will be located at
- Putney Leisure Centre – 9am – 3pm
- Car Park rear of 67 Fernlea Road – 9am – 3pm
- Car Park rear of Martley House, Patmore Street – 9am – 3pm
Booking for these has gone live.
As highlighted yesterday the MTUs are run and managed by DHSC. A number of you have passed on feedback about the service you or your residents have received. We have raised these all with the DHSC so they can take action. DHSC have also asked us to share with you their complaints process which they have said can be accessed here – https://enquiries.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/s/
Home Delivery. We have had confirmation today from DHSC that everyone over the age of 11 who lives, works or travels through Wandsworth can order a home delivery of a PCR test as part of the variant of concern surge testing in the boroughs https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test . Individuals should select the option “My local council or health protection team has asked me to get a test, even though I do not have symptoms” when asked why they are requesting a test. Please note the advice we have been given is that completed test kits should be returned to community collection points so they can be processed as part of the surge testing operation. The test kits should not be returned by post.
PCR Test kits. Residents can pick up test kits without an appointment at Battersea Sports Centre and Wandsworth Town Hall
